.The joint visit of the Governor and the EU Ambassador marks the start of a new phase of cooperation. During their meeting, the governor presented her priorities for the coming months, in particular the desire to restore Lomé to its former glory and to make the city a pole of attraction in West Africa. The intention is to make Lomé the capital of major events. Thus, both parties agreed to strengthen their partnership to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Lomé. During the meetings, they visited the Aképé Technical Landfill Center (CET), a site that processes approximately 300,000 tons of waste per year. It was built thanks to the financial support of the French Development Agency (AFD), the West African Development Bank (BOAD) and the European Union. This site plays an essential role in the management of waste in the capital. It contributes to improving the environment and maintaining public health. It should be noted that both parties are determined to collaborate in order to transform Lomé into a modern, clean and attractive city
