Du mardi 03 au jeudi 5 décembre 2024 s' est tenue une réunion de coopération t International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) technique on energy planning for nuclear energy regions of West Africa and Central Africa

The strategic project aims to harmonize regional electricity networks and identify energy priorities up to 2040. In his speech Souleymane Soro, directeur de cabinet adjoint au ministère des Mines, du Pétrole et de l' Énergie , said that “energy planning is crucial for the sustainable development of our economies.” This meeting is a continuation of the Continental Energy Master Plan for Africa (CMP) which was adopted in February 2024 at the African Union Summit. According to Souleymane Soro, “the regional dialogue, as organized in Abidjan, promotes a better understanding of energy challenges and the harmonization of planning tools at the national and continental levels.”
