This is an important step in achieving the Bank Group's vision, embodied in its 10-Year Strategy 2024-2033, which focuses on mobilizing private capital and de-risking as central themes to address the slow pace of achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. This platform aims to offer a combined reference portfolio of around 1.5 to 2 billion dollars in assets diversified in terms of sectors, geographic areas and risk profiles. According to the President of the African Development Bank Group, Akinwumi Adesina, “the multi-issuer securitization vehicle that we are proposing and are in the process of designing, as well as the re-routing of SDRs through hybrid capital and other innovations that we continue to explore, illustrates how collaboration between multilateral development banks and private sector investors can unlock capital flows. transformative in order to fill Africa's financing gaps.”
