Du lundi 9 au jeudi 12 décembre 2024 se tient au Niger un atelier de renforcement des capacités à l' intention des membres des groupes de travail technique sur la AfCFA. The work was officially opened by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The capacity building workshop supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and other partners revolves around the theme “National Strategy for the Implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area”. Its aim is to equip participants with the tools and knowledge necessary for effective implementation of the AfCFTA at the national level. During the four days, the work is part of the logic of deepening the mechanisms of the AfCFTA, and reducing trade barriers and harmonizing trade policies. According to the representative of the Ministry of Commerce, “this workshop is a crucial step in our efforts to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the AfCFTA

Les participants discutent des best methods and specific challenges that Niger faces in implementing this continental agreement. Likewise, national and international experts contribute their expertise to inform debates and propose concrete solutions.
