The agreement signed before the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Colonel Elhadji Ousmane Mahaman, relates to the implementation of the Project to Support the Intensification of Agricultural Production in the Face of the Effects of Climate Change and Insecurity in the Regions of Dosso, Tillabéri and Tahoua through funding from the Global Programme for agriculture and agriculture food safety (GAFSP). This project is planned to cover 15 municipalities of Dosso, 5 of Tillabéri and 2 of Tahoua. It is planned for an implementation period of 48 months and will affect 5049 family agricultural and agropastoral farms (41% of women and 34% of young people) and indirectly 30,660 farmers within families in the target municipalities. It is a response to the difficulties encountered by peasant populations in general and those who make up the PFPN such as the Federation of Unions of Rice Producers (FUCOPRI), the National Federation of Livestock Producers of Niger (FNEN-DADDO) and the Coordination of Horticultural Cooperatives in Niger (FNEN-DADDO) and the Coordination of Horticultural Cooperatives of Niger (CCPHN). The project in question aims to contribute to the improvement of food security and the resilience of family farmers in the face of climate and security crises by strengthening the agricultural service offer of the three farmers' organizations specializing in milk, rice and potato production
