The bill adopté Friday manages the Strategic Climate Fund to finance the project to promote agroforestry and restore degraded forest landscapes in Tunisia (PARFD), in the governorates of Béja, Siliana and Bizerte. Indeed, the role of the AfDB in the implementation of this project is to contribute 59% to the financing, with a credit of 14 million dollars (about 43.4 million dinars) and a donation of 3 million dollars (9.5 million dinars), representing about 12.6% of the cost of the project, which is estimated in total at about 23.7 million dollars (about 73.5 million dinars) excluding taxes. The credit is granted at a fixed annual interest rate of 1.11%, and will be repaid over a period of twenty years with eight years of grace. For its part, the Tunisian State will contribute 25.6% to the financing against a contribution of 2.8% for
the beneficiaries.Le projet will be carried out during the period 2024/2029 of should contribute to the development of rural areas, to the reduction of the carbon footprint and to the fight against the impact of changes climatic. It will create 2,200,000 direct and indirect jobs and will benefit 42,000 inhabitants. Also, according to deputy Salah Ferchichi, the credit will make it possible to finance small projects in the forest sector and to carry out interventions in infrastructure
