.The Company indicated that financing from which Sococim benefits will allow it to “increase the production of low-carbon cement and contribute to filling the housing deficit in the country”. For the body responsible for financing the private sector at the Banque mondiale , “following previous funding granted in February 2023, the new IFC funding will support the plan to modernize Sococim's operations, including the adoption of more efficient technologies and alternative fuels.” Thus, with the loan granted to the Azalaï group, the SFI will support the tourism sector in Senegal and help meet the working capital needs of this hotel company, as well as its regional expansion plans. For the Senegalese Makhtar Diop, “these projects highlight the IFC's commitment to promoting sustainable economic growth and development in Senegal. By investing in key sectors such as tourism and manufacturing, IFC and its partners are laying the foundations for a stronger and more resilient private sector
