The fourth ordinary session of the Council of Ministers of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) took place on December 20, 2024 at the premises of the BCEAO main agency in Bamako. According to the latest forecasts la Bceao , the Union's GDP growth rate, in real terms, would be 6.3%. As for the year 2024, the Council of Ministers welcomed the continued strength of economic activity during the year 2024.

According to the latest GDP estimates, there is an acceleration in the pace of economic activity in 2024, with a growth of 6.0% after 5.3% in 2023. For the financial year 2025, the budget of the Union's bodies amounts in revenue and expenditure to 149.6 billion CFA francs compared to the initial 2024 budget forecasts of 142.0 billion CFA francs, i.e. an increase of

5.3%.
