The African Development Bank (AfDB) is setting up a tool for remote data collection and analysis. This initiative is part of the “Remote Appraisal, Supervision, Monitoring and Evaluation, of Operation Projects” (RASME) project.

The launch of this project on Tuesday, January 18 was followed by training for partners on remote data collection and analysis. RASME is an IT solution for remote data collection and analysis. It will make it possible to accelerate the implementation of projects, anticipate problems and establish transparency in the management of development projects. It is a system for collecting data at all times that can be verified, analyzed and published. This tool is useful for supervising projects in geographic areas where access by development experts is either impossible or limited due to logistical or security constraints.
