Depuis hier, la deuxième edition of the International Skills Forum (FIC) organized by the firm Vizeho Consulting and the Financial Afrik newspaper is under way at the former Palais des Congrès in Nouakchott.

Some 1000 participants, including master students, startup leaders and public and private sector executives took part in a two-day conference whose central theme is “Future jobs and skills transfer from the diaspora”. According to Dia El Haj Ibrahima, managing director of Financial Afrik, this will be about promoting local skills and building a missing link between young Mauritanian graduates and the job market. Some twenty young entrepreneurs and managers from the diaspora participate in this event, which also includes masterclasses and a varied exhibition space. The National Employment Agency, an official partner, as well as telecom operators, banks, insurance companies and digital solutions providers are among others the partners of this event
